Data controller
The app is provided by Dot Design Web S.R.L., Romanian company number 26427855, J40/701/2010, registered at 4 Johann Sebastian Bach Street, Sector 2, Bucharest, Romania. For app and privacy questions email contact@darkedge.ro.
Radio connection
The app connects to Dark Edge Radio services for the stream, track title, artist and artwork. Servers process ordinary connection data, including IP address, to deliver content and protect the service.
Local preferences
Wi-Fi and mobile quality, theme, buffer, autoplay, alarms and preferred audio output are stored locally to operate the app.
Local network
Google Cast and Denon HEOS discover compatible devices on the local network when you use those options. Room names, user-assigned device names, local addresses, MAC addresses and SSIDs are not sent in telemetry.
Technical app metrics
Reliability events may include app version, normalized phone model, Android major version, network type, stream quality, output type, starts and stops, listening duration, buffer states, error categories and alarm or theme use.
Approximate country
The metrics server may derive a country from the request IP address. It stores only the country code and discards the IP; the app does not collect GPS, city or precise location.
Crash reporting
Crashes, Android ANRs and reliability diagnostics may be sent to Sentry with redacted technical context. Screenshots, session replay, request bodies and intentional personal-data collection are disabled.
Excluded data
Telemetry does not contain names, account or email, persistent user or installation IDs, advertising IDs, listened track or artist, stream URL, speaker or room names, free text or precise location. Data is not sold or used for behavioural advertising.
Retention
Queued technical events expire locally after no more than 7 days. Raw App Metrics events are retained for up to 90 days and anonymous aggregates for up to 5 years. Sentry data follows the project retention setting and the provider policy.
Choices, transfers and rights
You can stop playback, remove alarms, revoke permissions and clear local data. Diagnostic services may process technical data outside the EEA under their safeguards. Where the law applies, you may exercise GDPR rights and complain to the Romanian supervisory authority.
