Data safety

Network activity

The app connects over HTTPS to metadata, artwork, update and telemetry services and uses secure audio streams. Network operators may process ordinary connection data.

Local network

Google Cast and Denon HEOS discover local devices only when the user chooses those features. Room names and local identifiers are not sent to App Metrics.

Alarm and notifications

Alarm schedules and playback preferences are stored locally and can be cleared by the user.

Background playback

The media service and playback notification provide transparent audio control in the background and on the lock screen.

Product metrics

The app may send playback states, duration, quality, network, audio output, performance, alarm and theme preference together with app version and a normalized device model.

Limited diagnostics

Sentry receives crashes and redacted technical context. Screenshots, request content, listened titles, speaker names and persistent identifiers are excluded by app configuration.

Limited retention

The local telemetry queue expires after 7 days, raw App Metrics events after 90 days and anonymous aggregates after 5 years.

User control

You can stop playback, revoke permissions, remove alarms and clear local data from device settings.
