Acceptance

By installing or using Dot Dictation you accept these terms. If you disagree, do not use the app and clear its local data.

API account and costs

The user configures their own provider and API key and is responsible for costs, limits and account security. Dot Design does not include API credit or receive the complete key on its servers. Any app purchase price is separate from AI provider charges; purchase terms are those displayed by the store before purchase. This test version does not promise included AI credit or a subscription.

Message control

The app inserts text into the active field; the user decides whether to send it. Translating the whole field may replace existing text and edits. Check language, content and recipient before sending. Use background recording carefully to avoid accidentally capturing other people’s voices.

Generated results

Transcription, punctuation, translation and rewriting may contain errors. Review text before sending it, especially for medical, legal, financial, professional or otherwise important content.

Permitted use

Use the app lawfully and only on devices and accounts you are authorised to use. Do not process content without the required rights or use the app for abuse, fraud or infringement.

Availability

Operation depends on the microphone, Android, internet connection and selected AI provider. Delays, limits, outages or third-party service changes may occur.

Intellectual property

The app, visual identity and code supplied by Dot Design are protected by applicable law. Users retain rights to their content subject to the selected provider’s terms.

Liability

The app is a productivity tool and does not replace human review. To the extent permitted by law, Dot Design is not liable for unreviewed messages, provider charges, network outages or decisions based solely on generated text.

Updates and governing law

Features and these terms may be updated. The current version is published on this page. Romanian law applies without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
